The ‘Gye Nyame’ Adinkra symbol signifies the omnipotence of God. Nyame means “God” to the Akan tribe of Ghana. His name means "he who knows and sees everything" and “omniscient, omnipotent sky God” in the Akan language.
By placing the Gye Nyame symbol on our clutch bag, we’re paying homage to Ghana’s rich heritage and spreading its history, culture and traditions.
We handpick the African print from our local market and make the clothes from scratch, gaining satisfaction from combining solid colors and African print to create something quite special. With your patronage, we are encouraging independence and sustainability while Keeping Us Authentic.
Washing:
- Hand Wash: Turn inside out and wash gently in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent. Avoid wringing or scrubbing. Air dry away from direct sunlight.
- Machine Wash: If needed, use a gentle cycle with cold water in a mesh laundry bag. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Air dry.
Drying:
- Always air dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Avoid tumble drying to prevent shrinkage and fading.
Ironing:
- Iron while slightly damp or use a steam iron. Set to medium heat and iron on the reverse side with a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
Stain Removal:
